It is a nice weekend trip,We went during the week, nobody was there, the gates were open (in the summer you have to pay to get in), not too much snow that day - but it was cold, ( you have to get dress right), it was only the three of us, my hubby, me and my son - who by the way..put together the exhibition in this park (the proud mama ) - The exhibition building was close..so.I'm.going to visit the place again in the summer.
and let's not forget all the winery's that you can visit - and drink...
It's at Balls Falls (funny name) near Jordan Ontario, The loyalist established a town by the name Balls (the founder's name).
Thanks for fixing my pictures, I bet I'll have some problems here and there.
Jordan is a cute little town. Stopped there once for a breakfast & a look around at some shops. The breakfast is yer old fashion kinda small town breakfast in a dingy place lol.. miss those kinda of places. Everywhere you go now a days it's all franchises. One fun thing about travel used to be finding the local restaurant & trying it out.. not anymore. It's all the same.
I was keeping this place to myself .. you would love it! http://www.harmonypastry.com/ .. they even supply the Celery Bread to the Erie Beach Hotel in Dover
I plan to! Might even add it to the day trip I want to take in the summer... my kids want to do the zipline at Long Point. Would this be on the way.. at all.. or even close enough out of the way, to stop by?
well, yeah .. it's just that you would be hitting the South side of Simcoe on your way to Long Point and the pastry house is out the North side of Simcoe.
Simcoe is a neat little town itself.. not bad to pass thru. Check out the park as ya pass thru.. millions of Geese and Swans and Ducks and shit.. literally, watch where ya walk. lol
