only one Photo Editor to open all my jpgs, gifs, bmps etc.
I have gone the route of highlighting all the photos in my pictures folder and choosing "open with" and putting a check mark next to always remember to choose this program or something like that. I want all my pics to open in Microsoft Photo Editor but Fireworks has overtaken my Outlook choices and many more programs on the comp including leaving a little icon next to all my pic files. I want to use Fireworks only in Dreamweaver and nothing else. I searched thru Fireworks but there is no option to disassociate itself with all the pics and I can't find the "master" changer which will allow me to do that. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks:)

I think that's in Microsoft Explorer file manager. If you have MS XP, or whatever.

Found it. Go to Control Panel, File Options, find the file type you want to change, then select a new 'Opens with'. :)

Thanks Mousemeat, found it and made the changes.:)

PS When using Outlook, what is the most common way of sending e-mails, HTML or plain text?

Do you have your default set on html?

Without having Outlook in front of me to doublecheck...Tools.. Options.. Mail Format... somewhere in there under Mail Format I believe...

Thanks all but I decided to uninstall all the Office 2000 crap, to old and not enough updates to keep it current. Will do some online shopping tonight to see what I can come up with:)

Office 2000 works well.
I wonder if the reason you are getting that message is that the contacts have "send plain text only" enabled
Are your contacts in your PST file or a wab file?

Contacts are in a PST file. I also noticed that Outlook only had 64bit encryption while OE had 128. I looked for a fix or patch from Microsoft but there wasn't any.

Mary forgot to log out again
