I was reading a post on another board asking if you can watch a DVD movie on your computer just using your CDR-RW drive and some software.
All the replies stated no, unless you rip it and install it on your hard drive, you must use a DVD Drive to view it.
How come I can rent a DVD from Rogers or Blockbuster and watch it on my computer using my Samsung burner and Win DVD Platinum?
so u dont have a dvd drive?

is it a combo drive?
normal burners can't but if it's a dvd-rom/cd-burner combo that will explain it.

Thanks everyone for your replies, Trip your right, it says I have a
Samsung CDRW/DVD SM 308B.
I guess that explains why I can watch them:)
