need anything burned on to a CD ??
Just bought a new one.
Nothing special but, but it was recomended by a few people
LG is the make was 169 dollars I payed 79 dollars:D
Specs
52x CD-R Max Write
24x CD-RW Max Write
52x CD- ROM Max Read
2meg buffer
Anyway it works just fine, the only question is.
How do I copy files from one CD on to the burner??
What I did was take my old CD rom out and put this one in its place.
The software it came with is Nero Express, its real easy to use.

been a long time since i used my burner but if I remember right. This was with Easy CD I used
put the cd you want to copy in and open your software and click make a copy then it will copy the cd to a temp file on your HD when done it will eject and tell you to enter a blank cd then you do that click ok or whatever then let it burn.
Should be pretty much the same procedure with Nero

I am used to Easy CD, too...and was like Bromy said. I have Nero now, but was just installed and I haven't used it, but then I have 2...ROM and BURNER. I imagine though, it'll just copy to HD.
Congrats on the burner....sounds good...good speeds.
How'd you get it so cheap?? New or used??

Ha, I have a 4x burner :p
But that's because it can read and burn both CDs and DVDs.

It seems to do a good job at burning
I'm still trying to figure out how to copy to the H/D so I can burn to a CD
I made a digital image lol by mistake I will try again lol
And Nav I got it at future shop
I was looking at a different make a more expensive kind, but the guy told me not to waist my money lol and buy this one instead. He said he just bought this model himself and it’s half price sooooo I bought it.

In the Ahead folder is Nero Burning Rom .. the wizrd gives the option to "copy from another cd". Too easy.. Bob's ur uncle lol

JMD...just copy your data to a folder on the HD and then select burn a CD (data, music, etc) , then it asks where is the folder, you locate it...then "add" and "burn".
I just looked it up...also have Nero Express.

Mine is 5.5, but Express is a part of it.
I just installed Nero last week and actually haven't had the opp to use it. My son has though and no probs that I heard about...lol

all I did was select all, copy contents of CD to a folder on my H/D and now I will burn it
So I guess version 5.5 is the one to get.

Blindwrite is great if you plan on backing up a lot of cds, otherwise just stick with Nero/Nero Express. I found Nero Express better than "normal" nero for audio cds simply for the "remove silence at the end of tracks" option. "normal" Nero seems to only have an option to remove silence @ the end of *.cda tracks which are what audio tracks are on an audio cd so it's only good if you're doing straight cd-cd copying.
ANyways yea the wizard for Nero makes everything pretty simple. After a couple whirls through the wizard you probably won't even need it anymore.
I need a new burner...mines only 24x :(
oh and btw the latest version of Nero is 5.5.10.28 I believe.
Another good program is CloneCD but again only if you're going to be copying alot of cds and still I'd stick with Blindsuite if u were going to buy one simply because it will check the image file after you create the image and before you burn it.
and another thing hehe is STAY AWAY FROM EZ CD CREATOR :D It burns slower than Nero does and it's just blech. Take the time to learn nero, trust me you won't be sorry :)
Nero is what i have too, i could use it great last week, but then yesterday i forgot how to write lolololl
so thanks this thread was most helpful and i have more c-ds done, this am, speed 40x12x48 which means nothing at all to me lolololol all i know it does the job what i ask lololol
:D
