Alt + 0233 will give you é :)
or you can go into your Control Panel and choose Regional and Language Options and change to French, but you will have to change back to English when you want it.
rem thanks, this did'nt work, Alt + 0233 will give you é, there was nothing appeared in the mail, i'll try the control panel and try the regional and language, thanks.

Really? hold down on the "Alt" button while you press 0233 .. it should work..that ASCII language .. as long as you're mail is HTML

try using the number pad on the side of the puter instead of the No's above the numeric keys
hold alt, dial 0233 on number pad, let go of alt

so on with my tale, sometimes i don't know why, when i write an e-mail, then add something to a sentence, the word following delets its self when i press the space bar, this is so irritating, so i was trying various buttons and hey presto i must have hit the altgr key and thats it for the é see. lolololol thanks everyone.

that's because the "insert" key is toggled on....if it happens again hit the "insert" key to turn it off.
