Undeletable File

i have a file on my computer that i downloaded off of imesh, and now that i dont want it, i try to delete it, but the thing wont delete. it keeps saying that the ile is in use by another person or program, can anyone help me?

make sure imesh is not "on" when trying to delete it.

do Ctrl-Alt-Delete and look at what's running in the background...see if there's anything you think may be using the file and click on it and click "end task"

right click on the file and make sure it's not a read only (or archive)...if so uncheck that

yeah.. it just thinks you still have the file open with wmp or whatever you used to view it with

it will let you delete.. when it thinks it's not being used anymore

It may be running in the background, if it won't shut down start up in safe mode and delete it. If that fails start in safe mode, rename the file, reboot and delete. If none of these suggestions work let us know there are others ways to get rid of rogue files .... plus give the file name if you can ...
