Geeze...I can't seem to find out where this gadget is for sale. I wrote to the comapny but haven't gotten anything back yet. My local computer store can't find it.

Can you find this or something just like it that is for sale?

Digital Pen and USB thumb drive (http://www.epos-ps.com/products.asp?pid=1275&ppid=1278)

The Next Generation in Flash Memory Devices
The EPOS-enabled Digital Pen & USB Flash Drive provides all the benefits of a digital pen with the addition of full Flash memory capabilities. Completely portable, users can write, sketch and draw freely anywhere, using regular paper, while the device simultaneously captures and stores all handwritten text and drawings in real-time to the Flash memory.

Write it, Store it, Send it
A multi-functional tool, stored data can be later uploaded to a PC via a standard USB port. Once uploaded, handwritten information can be transformed to text using standard handwriting recognition software, and notes and drawings can be edited and shared via email and messaging applications.

Providing all the benefits of a regular Flash drive, the Digital Pen & USB Flash Drive stores hundreds of pages of handwritten text and drawings as well as image, music, and video files, etc.

The Office in Your Pocket
Small, compact and completely wireless, the Digital Pen & USB Flash Drive can be used at home, school and at work. The perfect alternative to carrying a heavy laptop, it is ideal for taking notes and jotting down diagrams in both the meeting room and the classroom. It can also be used for assisting sales force, technicians and delivery persons in the field for a variety of form filling and enterprise applications.

maybe it's not out yet?

take from a review, posted on one of their pages

The best part in my opinion is that EPOS claims the pen and flash drive will be available for as low as $80 sometime this Spring.

Yea, April 07, it's a little overdue. :shifty: Then there was an announcement in June (in one of my photo mags) that it was being released in July. To look at the manufacturer's site, you'd think it's on the market now.

I'm confuddled by this one.

since i search everywhere & no one seems to sell it.. the Consumer Electronics show announced it in 06.. so I go back to earlier where I said.. maybe it's not out yet
:whome:

EPOS CEO Oded Elisashiv wouldn't talk about specifics but said peripheral manufacturers will be introducing EPOS-enabled pens in 2006 for as little as $50. Stay tuned.

Op...

Way back on 4/20 (http://www.crunchgear.com/2007/04/20/convergence-devices-epos-digital-pen-usb-flash-drive/) I told you about EPOS and their digital pen and USB drive, which should have hit retailers during the summer but didn’t and for good reason.

.....

The combo pen and USB drive will slowly trickle to online retailers next month with a big announcement coming in January at CES.
