why would Norton all of a sudden shut off the firewall and virus protection and not let me turn it on.
It says to fix this remove Norton then reinstall.
WTF??:confused:

I too have had issues with NIS where it won't scan.
Start a scan and end up with a "Blue Screen of death"
Top it off now with the laptop saying that norton is corrupt and needs to be reinstalled.
I have several emails to tech help to try to resolve this.
Even their own system cannot find my order# for the 2007 version I purchased. So I emailed them and provided the info leaving it in their court now.

LOL I work for Symantec at the Norton support, if that dosent help Joseph I will send you some info when I'm at work ;)

I rebooted twice and it seemed to correct it.
