I currently have a Canon BJC 2100 printer I paid about $100 for it two years ago and ya it's obsolete already. For text this thing works great, but I have discovered I would like a printer to print off images etc etc, ( it'll print images but the quality sucks) I can get the photo ink cartridge for this thing but costs like $70 for a tiny cartridge and sheets of paper aren't cheap either.

I saw on TV lastnight a commercial for the Epson printer that fires off decent photos.

Today I discovered how to scan my LP covers and weld them together to create a CD cover for my ** ahem cough cough*** CD's I have created myself.

Anyway do any of you have fairly new printers and if so what is the quality of the images you print off?

I have the HP Deskjet 812C...it's been very good for my pics and is fine for average work at an average price, but now I want a new one for finer work with better quality and I have been looking at Canon photo printers.

Not sure which one yet.
