I did a Win Set-up on Sun. night. Last night I had to install my monitor software, it was only finding a default one. Right after I install monitor... my speakers started buzzing. IT'S DRIVING ME NUTZ!!

Got a clue how I can stop it? It does it even if sound is muted.

Can I safely pick "install driver" from the CD and reinstall it's audio card stuff? ...ya think?

Ya you can do that or go directly to the website of the audio card maker and get the latest driver, the one you have on cd was outdated by the time you got it home.

If it's a creative labs card they are easy to install.

Yes.

I don't know how to do that... there is soooooo many there, I don't know what to pick LOL.

So... it will be safe if I pick yes to installing a driver?

Whok... installing a driver sounds risky LOL

What kind of card is it.
Sound Blaster live?

Go here when you know and just follow the steps, Its been a while since I did a sound card driver, I have had several creative cards and its an .exe file just double click it and it will do the rest.

Be more carefull with a video card. I got drunk once a few years back in my early days of computing and tried to install a video card, clicked the wrong one and turned my screen into red, green, blue, yellow lines and cou;dn't see the desktop. That was the day I learned about "safe mode"

IS this a new monitor ? Might try moving the speakers far away if they arent magnetically shielded..
If its a software problem, get rid of the monitor drivers... a default monitro driver isnt that bad, plus it migth save your sanity ! :D
